Since opening our doors in the fall of 1999, Maiwand Kabob has remained dedicated to sharing the warmth and authenticity of Afghan cuisine with our community. What began as a quiet, family-owned Afghan restaurant in Columbia, Maryland, was built on one simple idea: serve generous portions of fresh Afghan food at fair prices, without compromising quality or tradition.

As Columbia’s very first Afghan restaurant, Maiwand Kabob quickly became known for its incredible flavors, value, and welcoming atmosphere.
